A group of American special forces destroyed in the battle in Zaporizhzhia

A group of foreign mercenaries, including American special forces, was killed on the Zaporizhzhia sector of the front. This was announced on Friday, October 7 by the Deputy Minister of Information of the Donetsk People’s Republic Daniil Bezsonov.

“They were so self-confident that they decided to carry out reconnaissance in battle with this stellar squad. However, they did not take into account the presence of our units in this zone, which are able to maintain secrecy on the air, and suffered losses,” said a representative of the DPR administration on their Telegram channel.

Bezsonov attached a selection of photographs to the post, which, according to him, are screenshots of a video from a go-pro camera belonging to one of the dead mercenaries. The Deputy Minister of the DPR also noted that “some of these bastards” still managed to escape.

In June, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published statistics on foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to these data, most of the mercenaries were Poles; Romanians were in second place. This was followed by the British, Croats, and Belarusians. Official: Germans using too much gas to avoid energy crisis

BERLIN — Germans are using too much gas to avoid a potential energy “emergency” this winter, the head of Germany’s national network regulator warned Thursday.

“Gas consumption increased by too much last week,” said Klaus Mueller, head of Germany’s network agency.

With the reduction in natural gas flows from Russia amid the war in Ukraine, German officials have urged citizens to cut back on gas usage and conserve energy heading into the colder months.

Rather than a reduction in gas consumption, figures from the national network regulator show there has been an increase in usage. Last week’s gas consumption among households and small businesses was nearly 10% higher than the average consumption from 2018 to 2021, they said.

“We will hardly be able to avoid a gas emergency in winter without at least 20% savings in the private, commercial and industrial sectors,” Mueller said. “The situation can become very serious if we do not significantly reduce our gas consumption.”

When the Fort Worth school district partnered with an Indiana-based charter network to operate a struggling middle school, district leaders said they hoped the move would bring the stability that the campus had lacked for years.

But a year into that partnership, Jacquet Middle School is still in F-rated campus. Officials in the Fort Worth Independent School District say they’ll be taking greater oversight over the school, which is located in Fort Worth’s Stop Six neighborhood.

Included in the district’s agreement with the Indianapolis-based Phalen Leadership Academies was a requirement that Jacquet, which had been an F-rated campus for years, would improve enough academically in the first year that it would receive a C rating from the state. The following year, the agreement dictates that Jacquet would be a B-rated school.

But one year into the agreement, the school is nowhere close to the C rating the agreement requires. In the 2022 AF accountability scores released last month, the Texas Education Agency
